Job Introduction
Ensures proper quality of product by knowing customer specific requirements. Implements quality improvements as identified.
Major Responsibilities
Liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and supplier regarding quality issues.
Initiate, organize and manage problem solving for areas of responsibility to ensure product quality.
Work with the Manufacturing Department to initiate effective containment and investigation activities to prevent further outflow in-house and to customer.
Develop data and prepare reports as requested by Department Leader and/or Quality Engineer
Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Collect information and research data related to quality standard requirements to comply with customer requirements.
Address any quality issues associated within a project and communicate to manufacturing departments any quality alerts needed for successful launch.
Attend meetings and coordinate any training associated with the launch of a new project.
Communicates frequently with internal and external contacts on various issues.
Prepare any documentation associated with project launch.
Communicate with supplier/vendor regarding nonconforming material/product.
Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge and Education
Education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma or GED
Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Lotus Notes/Outlook, Internet, etc.).
Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Operate standard office equipment preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Basic math skills

Ability to read assembly drawings.
