Apartment Construction Superintendent

DescriptionWallick Construction is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent for a full-time opportunity on an apartment construction/remodel project for the Northfield Acres Apartments in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
This position coordinates all site construction activities and supervises field personnel as required to successfully complete the assigned projects on schedule and within budget.
Directs all field contractors to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.

In accordance with the Wallick Mission and Values, coordinates all site construction activities and supervises field personnel as required to successfully complete the assigned projects on schedule and within budget.
Your
Responsibilities:
o You will direct all field contractors to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
o You maintain positive internal and external relationships with Development, Accounting, customers, contractors, and suppliers.
o Develops and drives the construction schedule, identifies, and resolves problems related to the project.
o Order materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the project.
o You will prepare, schedule and oversee the completion of a final punch list.
o You encourage safe work practices and resolves any site hazards that may occur.
o You will ensure that adherence to OSHA standards for sub-contractors and work site associates are being followed.
o Maintain an organized job site to include the office and field work.
o Perform other related duties as assigned.
Success Criteria:
o You have a minimum of 5 years previous experience with a multi-family builder with exposure to scheduling, ordering materials, field supervision, budget management, quality control and production of all phases of construction.
o You can handle multiple projects and priorities in a timely and professional manner.
Must have solid organizational skills.
o You are comfortable interacting with owners, architects, engineers, government officials and inspectors.
o You are fluent with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
o You have good listening, written and oral communication skills.
o You can read, analyze and interpret reports.
o You can apply advanced math skills successfully, analyze information, and render accurate bid proposals.
o You are comfortable making complex decisions requiring a significant amount of judgment.

OSHA:
10-hour safety certificationCandidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
