Monday - Friday 8:
00am - 5:
00pm $17 Required to be certified and passed KY State Exam for Clinical Medical Assistant Certified Clinica l Medical Assistant (CCMA) Requirements :
Must be certified and passed KY State exam Clinical Medical Assistant Excellent communication skills and ability to chart patient complaints accurately.
Coordination and completion of referrals and prior authorizations.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
Maintain patient records confidentiality and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations.
Maintain a professional appearance, adhere to employer work practices, and cope with job stress.
Perform special scales, such as charting patient's chief complaints and updating medication lists.
Accurately chart exams, physicals, assessments, and discussions with the patient.
Be detailed in referral messages and establish a referral system that works best.
Maintain work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations.
Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements About the CCMA Role As a CCMA, your responsibilities will include:
Room patients, obtain vitals, patient history, and reason for seeking care Process telephone messages and follow prescription refill procedures Coordinate and complete referrals ordered by TMC providers and process prior authorizations for medications Maintain patient records confidentiality and record patient charges and lab charges for the billing department Assist providers with patient education pertaining to their ongoing health care Verify that prescribed medication is covered by patient insurance using a formulary app Ensure that necessary less invasive testing is completed prior to sending referrals to referral MA and be very detailed in the referral message Perform basic triage per specific office protocol procedures Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management Monitor controlled substance scripts and notify Doc of any inconsistencies in drug screens Answer phone calls and back up other MA positions as needed Maintain a work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations Perform other duties as assigned Why Work With Our Client Once hired-on, employees can expect:
